Mae Cymwysterau Cymru wedi comisiynu Alma Economics i werthuso'r newidiadau parhaus sy'n cael eu gwneud i TGAU a chymwysterau eraill ar gyfer pobl ifanc 14 i 16 oed yng Nghymru. Qualifications Wales has commissioned Alma Economics to evaluate the ongoing changes being made to GCSEs and other qualifications for 14-to-16-year-olds in Wales. Over the next three years, they will be exploring how the changes have been introduced in schools, and what differences the changes are making.

Qualifications Wales has today published its decisions on recognition criteria for awarding bodies developing new National 14-16 Qualifications, following a public consultation.

Fel rhan o daith barhaus CBAC i gyd-awduro cyfres newydd o gymwysterau TGAU a chymwysterau cysylltiedig ar gyfer dysgwyr ledled Cymru, mae nhw yn falch o gyhoeddi bod ymgynghoriadau ar ei gynigion lefel uchel o ran strwythur a ffocws asesu ar gyfer Ton 2 y pynciau bellach yn fyw.

Mae'r ymgynghoriad yn berthnasol i bynciau yn ail don ei ddatblygiad a fydd ar gael i'w addysgu o fis Medi 2026.

Bydd yr ymgynghoriad yn cau ar 6/12/2024. I gael mynediad i'n hymgynghoriadau, ewch i'r dudalen we ganlynol.

As part of WJEC's continued journey to co-construct a new suite of GCSEs and related qualifications for learners across Wales, they are pleased to announce that consultation on their high-level proposals for the structure and focus of assessment for the Wave 2 subjects is now live.

The consultation applies to subjects within the second wave of their development which will be available for teaching from September 2026.

Heddiw, mae Cymwysterau Cymru wedi cyhoeddi canllaw cynhwysfawr i gefnogi canolfannau yng Nghymru wrth drosglwyddo i'r Cymwysterau Cenedlaethol newydd. 

Mae'r canllaw wedi'i gynllunio i helpu gweithwyr addysg proffesiynol ddeall y newidiadau i'r ddarpariaeth cymwysterau ar gyfer pobl ifanc 14 i 16 oed o fis Medi 2025 a helpu canolfannau sydd wrthi’n paratoi yn barhaus.

Mae hefyd yn cynnwys pecyn cymorth i helpu canolfannau i roi gwybod am y cymwysterau newydd i ddysgwyr, a'u rhieni neu ofalwyr, llywodraethwyr a rhanddeiliaid allweddol lleol eraill.

Today, Qualifications Wales has published a comprehensive guide to support centres in Wales with their transition to the new National Qualifications. 

The guide has been designed to help educational professionals understand the changes to qualifications provision for 14 to 16-year-olds from September 2025 and aid centres’ continuing preparation.

It also includes a toolkit to help centres communicate the new qualifications to learners, and their parents or carers, governors and other key local stakeholders.
