Mae Cymwysterau Cymru wedi penderfynu datblygu ystod o gymwysterau cysylltiedig â gwaith o’r enw Tystysgrif Alwedigaethol Addysg Uwchradd (TAAU). Mae’r cymwysterau hyn wedi’u dylunio ar gyfer pobl ifanc rhwng 14 ac 16 oed, gan gefnogi eu pontio i astudio ôl-16. Mae rhestr o bynciau TAAU ar gael yma.
Bydd TAAU ar gael ar lefel 1-2 a byddant yn cael eu graddio Llwyddo/Teilyngdod ar Lefel 1 a Llwyddo / Teilyngdod / Rhagoriaeth/Rhagoriaeth* ar Lefel 2.
Dilynwch y diweddariadau isod neu gofynnwch gwestiwn i ni am y cymwysterau TAAU newydd. Rydyn ni’n monitro’r wefan hon yn rheolaidd ac yn anelu at ymateb o fewn tua 3 diwrnod gwaith.
Qualifications Wales has decided to introduce a range of work-related qualifications called Vocational Certificates of Secondary Education (VCSEs). These qualifications are designed for 14 to 16 year-olds, supporting their transition to post-16 study. A list of VCSE subjects is available here.
VCSEs will be available at level 1 / level 2, and will be graded Pass/Merit at Level 1 and Pass / Merit / Distinction / Distinction* at Level 2.

Rydym wedi cyhoeddi canllaw newydd i'r Cymwysterau Cenedlaethol / We’ve published a new guide to the National Qualifications
Heddiw, mae Cymwysterau Cymru wedi cyhoeddi canllaw cynhwysfawr i gefnogi canolfannau yng Nghymru wrth drosglwyddo i'r Cymwysterau Cenedlaethol newydd.
Mae'r canllaw wedi'i gynllunio i helpu gweithwyr addysg proffesiynol ddeall y newidiadau i'r ddarpariaeth cymwysterau ar gyfer pobl ifanc 14 i 16 oed o fis Medi 2025 a helpu canolfannau sydd wrthi’n paratoi yn barhaus.
Mae hefyd yn cynnwys pecyn cymorth i helpu canolfannau i roi gwybod am y cymwysterau newydd i ddysgwyr, a'u rhieni neu ofalwyr, llywodraethwyr a rhanddeiliaid allweddol lleol eraill.

Today, Qualifications Wales has published a comprehensive guide to support centres in Wales with their transition to the new National Qualifications.
The guide has been designed to help educational professionals understand the changes to qualifications provision for 14 to 16-year-olds from September 2025 and aid centres’ continuing preparation.
It also includes a toolkit to help centres communicate the new qualifications to learners, and their parents or carers, governors and other key local stakeholders.

Rydym wedi cadarnhau ein penderfyniadau ar y dull arfaethedig o ddynodi cymwysterau 14-16 i eistedd ochr yn ochr â'r gyfres Cymwysterau Cenedlaethol.
Daw'r penderfyniad hwn yn dilyn ymgynghoriad tri mis gyda rhanddeiliaid addysg yng ngwanwyn 2024.

We have confirmed our decisions on the proposed approach to designating 14-16 qualifications to sit alongside the National Qualifications suite.
This decision comes following a three-month consultation with education stakeholders in spring 2024.

Rydyn ni’n datblygu meini prawf cydnabod cymwysterau penodol ar gyfer cyrff dyfarnu sy’n cynnig cymwysterau TAAU, Sylfaen, Sgiliau a Phrosiect.

We are developing qualification specific recognition criteria for awarding bodies offering VCSEs, Foundation, Skills and Project qualifications.
The purpose of the draft criteria is to ensure that awarding bodies offering the qualifications have the necessary resources and procedures in place to do so.

Canllawiau ar ddysgu 14 i 16 / 14 to 16 learning guidance
Mae’r canllawiau ar ddysgu 14 i 16 hyn yn llunio rhan o ganllawiau statudol Fframwaith y Cwricwlwm i Gymru.
Mae’r canllawiau wedi’u hanelu at benaethiaid ysgolion a gynhelir, gan gynnwys ysgolion arbennig a gynhelir. Gallai hefyd fod o gymorth i athro sy’n gyfrifol am uned cyfeirio disgyblion a’r pwyllgor rheoli gyfeirio at yr egwyddorion wrth gynllunio eu cwricwlwm.
Canllawiau ar ddysgu 14 i 16 - Hwb (gov.wales)
This 14 to 16 learning guidance forms part of the Curriculum for Wales Framework statutory guidance.
It is aimed at headteachers of maintained schools, including maintained special schools. It may also be helpful for a teacher in charge of a pupil referral unit (PRU) and its management committee to refer to the principles when designing their curriculum.

TAAU Amgylchedd Adeiledig a Pheirianneg / VCSE Built Environment and VCSE Engineering
Yn dilyn ymgynghoriad pellach, gallwn gadarnhau y bydd y pynciau amgylchedd adeiledig a pheirianneg yn rhan o’r 15 sy’n cael eu cyflwyno ym mis Medi 2027.

Grwpiau Pwnc TAAU / VCSE Subject Groups
Rydym yn chwilio am athrawon pwnc i gymryd rhan yn ein grwpiau pwnc TAAU sydd i ddod.
Mae'r grwpiau pwnc TAAU wedi'u targedu at athrawon pwnc ac arweinwyr cwricwlwm sy'n dysgu'r meysydd pwnc rhwng 14-16. Byddai hyn yn golygu mynychu un gweithdy ar-lein a gynhelir yn ystod mis Ebrill - Mehefin (dyddiadau i'w cadarnhau).
Os oes gennych ddiddordeb mewn ymuno, gallwch lenwi'r ffurflen hon erbyn Dydd Gwener 12fed Ebrill.
We are looking for school subject teachers to be involved in our upcoming VCSE subject groups.
The VCSE subject groups are targeted at subject teachers and curriculum leads that teach these subject areas at 14-16. This would entail attending one online workshop to be held during April - June (dates to be confirmed).
